Hit so damn hard my seat is disfigured, Im not, (I mean I was disfigured before the accident anyways). Every panel except for the roof is damaged. Still drivable, I drove it home. But Im thinking what to do now. Should I take it to insurance company, or should I get a cheap cx from a salvage yard with a decent body and just swap everything over. I dont know if the insurance will fix it or total the car. Anybody got any ideas? please pm me.
Thanks
Leo
tough decision. you might be able to just get away with saying you were going on the onramp and hit some oil and the car just went straight. and see if they will cover it. it might get you some halfway decent paint my insurance company is very negotiable about what to do, and they let me know whether this or that decision is worth it or not.

Well, I had full coverage so Im they are covering, what Im afraid of though is that they consider the car totalled and I loose my engine and all the money I have on the car. I've heard I can buy the car back from them but I dont know exactly how that works. Hopefully they will give me enough money to fix it, and what I will do is instead of fixing it, buy another civic and swap all the parts.
we'll see.

Leo

sucks what happened...was a nice civic. but id go ahead and buy it back from the insurance company, and what you dont use to swap in your other/new car you can sell and probably even out with what you used to buy the car back. thats what we did with my friends cavalier. he bought it back, but instead of swapping out the parts, he just sold all the good parts, and made a good profit for the next car.

basically when you buy back the car from the insurance company you pay what they think the car is worth...basically its trade in value or whatever they go by(not to sure about this part). and you'll find that usually its fairly low, and you can part it out for a whole lot more than you buy it back for

on to my torque converter problem...my torque converter is aiight. had it checked out and all, and it got a "little" too hot, and the computer went on an acid trip, so it was all outta wack. let it cool off for a bit and reset the computer, and its all good. guess the next mod will have to be a trans cooler, and get rid of the stock trans fluid. think ill stick with all the b&m thing and get the b&m trick shift(from whats been tested in other j-bodies, it works best)

just talk to your insurance company and see if they will discuss what is best for your situation....unless they're a-holes.

the damage doesnt look like much, but the radiator was moved about 1/2" and headlights are pushed in about 1" so I guess there is more damage than there appears to be.
