Not sure why you would front up the money before taking the TV. In a way, its your own fault, should have kept the money until he was ready to release the TV...

Update: Its now Monday, The day he said he would have my money. Its 1:22pm and I have yet to get a phone call, email, PM ect ect. As of 1:25 PM I left him a voice mail and I also sent him a PM Due to the fact he has yet to try to contact me today.

No more BS'n. You and your friends should just show up wherever you think he is. You seem to have been more then generous with him, and it's time he pays up! I'm sure the TV is fine, just like other posters said, realized he sold it for dirt cheap. Good luck man!
