I'm a highschooler...then only reason I have any money to spend on my car is because i work my ass off. I payed for more than half of my car, as my parents weren't willing to pay much, I pay insurance, and I buy my own gas. Because I've been working a lot of hours this summer I'm building up more and more credit at work (I work at a car shop) and use it to fund any mods I want.

And like a poster said before it's all who you know. It's probably pretty easy to not pay MSRP if you are just friendly and not some punk kid.

When I was 16 I dropped out of high school to work two jobs each paid 4.00 an hour under the table. I also slept in my car for a year. No parents. Not here anymore. Worked my ass off, when everybody was getting fucked up. ( dont get me wrong I did enough of that to). Saved my money, went to my step dads brother and begged for a loan of 7000.00 to buy a work truck and some construction equipment. Maid 1000 my first week working my dick off in 105 deg temp, doing honest manuel labor( although skilled- siding-nailitie etc) rolled that in to a video store, sold that, ( for 95,000) studied my ass off for a class A construction license, failed the test 6 times before passing it. Maid lots of mistakes that cost me money. Im 28yrs old and did 1.1 million in business last year. Im not telling you this to brag, money can really suck some times. but like I said there is no way to buck it, you have to be motivated and go get it, and dont let anybody or anything stand in your way. Like the gentelman said before credit and a little capitol are key. SAVE MONEY. Then you can buy anything you want if you have the time to enjoy it.
