how about we just get rid of the cost argument...cause anybody can get a cavalier/civic for 3k, and dump the extra 17k into it...much like a 15k M3, with an extra 15k to spare...
on 18's w' a true drag suspension? against a honda an easy 2 inches off the ground built for street? no i don't think so, not unless you got some off the wall do it all suspension.

let me break this down to you.. a STOCK civic with a wtf-ever suspension will not take a STOCK '97 cobra with a fully adjustable.. end of story..
and BTW: m to the ikey's cobra, isnt exactly what most people refer to as "stock"
if you've got the cash to throw around, you can have a set of springs and shocks/struts made specifically for what you want...adjust the damper's to go straight, and straight alone...pull back on the rack, and do some camber/toe adjustments, adjust your shocks/struts, and hit the road coarse...granted it wont be the best...it'll be pretty damn good
i didn't say stock, that wasn't the topic, man said his mustang(don't know the trim level) will take other guy's honda(or integra) in turns if he "takes off the skinnies and puts on the 18's "refer to page 4 of thread"
It is hard to make a 3000lbs Mustang handle like a 2300lbs Civic hatch, but that aside, if the Mustang is pulling 12s or 11s and has a decent suspension, it's going to tear the Civic up around the track. Don't forget the Honda is fwd.
