the ring (o ring) goes on the water tube, it fits in its own little groove. i have seen those tubes rot out and cause a leak.

more then likely, you have a piece of gasket left on there.

take it off and clean it again. as for the gasket....buy another pump, rape the gasket, and return it

Yes, there are quite a few out there. They are called burnout machines... thats about all they are good for with that much power.

I wish you had a picture. I saw no groove. Theres 2 tabs that stick out (inside the recieving tube on the pump) that keep the o ring from going further in, so I put it like that and installed it. I dont think it goes further inside the recieving pipe *right now im trying to do this from memory, I am in Kentucky at the moment*

Got any ideas on how to remove this gasket? Ive been using a razor blade and even that isn't getting all of it off, instead its shaving most of it down to smoothness. *sigh*

i use a right angle die grinder with a Roloc disc for cleaning.....but a screwdriver works well for scraping the rough shit if you dont have one.

screwdriver, stiff putty knife, and alot of patience.

ok I got everything back on but now I just need a diagram of where all the belts go. I've been searching the DSM Manual CD and DSMTuners.com but no luck If anyone here knows please do help me out!

Also I took an electric impact gun to the crank sprocket to tighten it up, I hope that got it tight enough heh. It's a 180$ craftsman gun so I hope it would tighten it enough.

how the belts go?

you have one ribbed belt that goes from crank, water pump, alt. one v belt that goes from water pump to power steering pump. and the outer ribbed belt runs the AC compressor. it has a tensioner that goes on the outside of the timing cover.

i decided not to put the ps belt, and ac belt on.

I couldnt get this one nut to come loose on the bottom of the ps pump, so I said fuck it, i'll put it back on when the next autox race comes near (which is in feb or march) and I put the alternator belt on

I went to go turn my car over and it wouldnt f*n start. I looked at my volt meter on my Apexi TT and it said 7 volts...yep I killed my batt when I left the radio on while I was workn on the car the first day. I hate regular $50 batteries. I miss my yellow top. I'm gonna get a friend to bring a charger by tomorrow and we'll see the results :-\ *sigh* I'm VERY nervous about this.

I'm mainly nervous because I left the car on the lift the week I went to KY and came back to some new dents in the oil pan and I HOPE TO GOD that I didn't bend the sump. Sooo yea if anyone knows anyone with a used 2g GST oil pan they want to sell cheap, give me a message/call/whatever.

We have an extra 1gt pan. They are the same... however it's still attatched to the motor shoved in a corner of my parents shed. No major dents just little dings here and there from road ware.

Or if you can wait two weeks when I get my gs-t back with its new motor. I will be parting out whats still good on the motor that decided to go cw on me.

Well I figure this would be a good enough thread to jump in on. I'm about to install some FPcam2's on my gsx, either tonight or another night soon, any words of wisdom? I'm not pulling the whole belt, but instead am going to attempt to do it the prostreet method, where you insert the tensioner tool into the block, and just pull the cams with the belt still on the car. Ive read the faq enough that I pretty much know it by heart but I figure it doesnt hurt to see if there isnt any advice out there. I've done a head swap before, just never done cams while the head is still on the car.
