E46 M3 vs. S13 SR20DET w/ Tein Type HEs
Stop twisting my words jackass. And I'm sure the M3 did bad because it was a Japanese driver.
I'm sure the M3 would fair better at the Ring, but that would simply be because of a tremendous power difference. The M3 is good at what it does. But what it does is not solely performance while you could argue a S2k is solely for that purpose.

I have seen an 88 M3 take out many cars in VIR and it's damn near 20 years old, how's that for performance? The M3 was not built solely for performance, it was built to perform and look good doing it. Bottom line is, given the same driver, same road course and same conditions, the 240 would lose to the $47K E46 M3 and to the $18K E30 M3. If I'm wrong, I'll shut my pie hole now.

ok.. I don't know what road course you're talking about (not down with all these japanese janx) but the E46 M3 is a superior car to both this 240 and your precious S2k. Who cares if a japanese driver doesn't like it? Take both of the around Summit or VIR and see what happens.
just because an s2000 outperformed an e46 m3 with an out of place driver behind the wheel does not mean an s2k will come close to the M with a competent driver behind the wheel.
quit going by one instance.

guess no body saw that i had an encounter like this. But it was with a lowly 5 series all stock. i was far from stock sans the motorsetup which was stockish 150rwhp.
falken azzennis 245/45/17's
300zx brakes on all 4
slotted rotors
ebc "red" pads
lsd
HKS hyper dampers
JIC magic rear toe and camber arms
and i could only hang with him in braking and corners. i'm an intermediate road course driver.

That car looks so familiar Greaser, is that the same one you sold Mark?

so you are saying that an s2000 will outperform the e46 m3, right?
and i didnt say incompetent. quit trying to turn this into some big drama cry fest. i said an out of place driver, meaning he does not race euro cars.
