What the heck, an old MB person on this site who isn't me?

 

 

 

We've talked about your old-school MB brochures before. I'm an old car person in general but love the 'boxy-curves' of that generation. I'd like to add my buddy here at work has a 16v 190e

 

I had one of those in Grandpa Gold. That was my big mistake: If I had bought a black one, I'd probably have kept it.

 

I hear they are ungodly slow, thats the bummer to them. But the chassis is incredible. Always loved those things, part of what appeals to me about my volvo, reminds me of that E30/ 190e boxy touring car era.









15x10.5" wheels all around on a volvo 244, running 275 width slicks iirc

 

SLOW lol.

Redbrick (old member on here) used to have a 1980 242 with a 2.0 bottom end with a VOLVO Penta (boat engine) head, running a t3/t4, NPR isuzu truck Intercooler (drops right in) with a tremec 5spd, running mid to high 13s in the 1/4.
