Cycle whore thread
yea... he wanted the price lowered cause of no front end... LOL..
He got the woodcraft rear sets, the only seat I had left, slip on, power commander, adjustable levers, and K&N filter. $3000
Thats ok though... cause now I have another set of fairings!!!! Just need to come up with another frame and I can put together another bike... so... I will make much more from that one bike... works out for me.

? I'm not trying to fix anything. I'm selling it exactly how it is without touching a thing but maybe the gas cap if I ride it.
I'm not selling because its broke, I'm selling because I'm getting away from sport bikes for a while.

I have no problem getting it up now, but I can't keep it there. The problem I have is throttle control, plus it probably doesn't help that I'm sitting down and not standing.

Trust me you are not high enough and from what I can see in that video that camera should be pointing almost up towards the sky. R1's have a higher balance point but when you do hit it you'll tell yourself WTF. I remember when I used to do stand ups on an 01 R1 the bike is nearly at 11 oclock. Good luck and be safe out there!

You are probably only coming off the ground about a foot... I know it probably feels like alot more.. but its not.. I was doing the samething when I started doing wheelies... and even now.. mine are still a touch low... I have to chase them out instead of riding them... You have to be way up. The fact that I can still see the horizon in the video is a clear indication that you are still way too low. Have somebody take a video from a car and you will see what I am talking about. It will change how you feel in the wheelie when you know you aren't very high at all.
I will see if I can find one of my first wheelie videos... when I found out that I was only getting like a foot off the ground.. then throwing my weight forward. LOL... Just takes practice and some getting used to it.
