Local S2000/Ferrari F40 owners dicsussion thread
SubscribeCar scrapes the bottom of the bumper currently at my apt, so I never bought a front lip. Plus I'm going to buy an AP2 front bumper and a CR lip or Amuse R1 lip eventually, so I never felt the need to get one for the stock bumper.
Suspension is stock, but ordering Swift Spec R springs (1.25" drop, slightly stiffer than CR rates) and an Eibach front sway with my next paycheck, as well as 245/40/17 tires, probably RS3's.

Amuse R1 lip? Are you talking about the discontinued Amuse lip for an AP1 front?
And I would recommend getting 255s instead of 245s.

And I really want to see those wheels in person. Was just browsing Evasive's site, and was blown away by how well priced they are! We're talking the same price as 2 new CE28s.

Although a knockoff because I'm not ballin like that, and I just want the lip so if I destroy it on track I can buy another one and not have to buy a whole new bumper.
I'm going to get an AP2 bumper for the car.
245's will be easier to fit, and in reality the grip difference between the two would be negligible. If I were getting a tire that wasnt known for running wide, I'd get 255's, but RS3's are known for being a wide tire. After tracking the car a couple of times anyway, I'll probably get some TRMotorsports 17x9's and 255 hoosiers anyway. I really dont drive like too much of a dickhead on the streets. I might hit 7/10ths or 8/10ths on occaision.
I'll probably have the car rolling in about a month, maybe a little less. I'll make it out to something by then haha.
Yeah, that's the full Amuse R1 bumper.

If you're getting an AP2 bumper, you could just get the APR lip, which has a similar design as the Amuse bottom portion. I think Flite has the APR lip.
And I hear ya on the minimal differences between a 245 and 255. I just prefer the height of the 255. But, having a 245 on a 9" wheel will make for some better responsiveness.

My car is an AP2 with the APR lip and it does indeed look very similar to an Amuse front bumper. That's why I did it. Originally Posted by shawn22

and for the record, I had 255s on the front of my car but hated how it lost what little steering feel an S2000 already has, I'm on a 235/255 combo now and couldn't be happier.

S2000 doesnt have any steering feel to me. Just a ton of precision. So I just want grip.Originally Posted by Flite

Yeah, I meant just the lip. I knew it was designed after the Amuse bumper so I just referenced that. Originally Posted by fish

I really want to get 255's, but Knoop is gonna roll my fenders and advised to the 245 just for fitment purposes, and in reality a 245 will be plenty big.
If offsets are +43 or higher 255's on a 17x9 will be fine. As long as your not trying to be hella flush or dumped
