License/Permit Info for Virginia
1) Your coverage (liability, comprehesive, full coverage, etc)
2) Your driving record
3) The displacement of your bike
4) The model of bike (GSXRs are a bit more as a result of theft)
FWIW, on my '01 F4i I was paying $480/year for Comprehensive and Liability (no collision) with Progressive
Now with the impending '06 600RR, I was told it would be $530/yr for the same coverage.
I got quotes from everywhere and Progressive was cheapest. (Geico was $900, StateFarm was $1k+, AllState was $1k+)

I agree...Go with the MSC. It discounts your insurance forever, it gives you the M on your license, and you meet other riders in the area. Plus after buying a bike, jacket, helmet, gloves, etc...whats another $100 bucks to be a safer driver?
quick q?
I have a CA drivers lic. and a Class M motorcycles permit. Ive only lived in San Diego for 6 months. I was planning on staying out here for school. but for various reasons im moving back home to VA (richmond). i plan on getting my VA drivers lic right away so i can establish residence. will my motorcycles permit transfer as well?
thank you
