Would you rather have the Supra or Porsche?

Toyota, on the other hand, makes a super strong motor in the 2jz, through a lot of development on the 7MGTE and 1JZGTE projects. But it would take a LOT of money to get it close to the handling of the 996.
My choice:
Toyota for a daily driver,
the Porsche if I just needed another car to add to the stables for a few drives a year and some club races.

i've only driven one of those and it was the supra, so thats why i chose the supra. The way the car handled and drove was unbelievable, it was probably the best/fastest car i've ever driven.

I understand supply and demand of collectibles, remember I gouged people in the comic book industry for a good 10 years.
However during that time, I also learned how to spot falsely inflated values set by current market trends. And while, comic books and cars are a million miles apart. Collectibility is the same with everything. I won't ever tell you this to your face, but yeah Supras are pretty fucking cool. My to your face view point still remains to be "eh its just a Toyota." However, as cool as they are, they are not as valuable as the current market makes them out to be. The current price of the car will, I am certain of this, fall. I would venture to guess that within about 5 years, this car will be worth between 1/3 and 1/2 of its current value.
Here is how collectibility works. Group A. People who have something. Group B. Other people who want it. Group A people may or may not want that thing as much as the people in Group B. Group A. Sells their item to Group B. with the knowledge that Group B. Greatly desires this item. Big Profit. Eventually the people who where in Group B. have evolved into Group A. Group B. is now far smaller then originally. This situation cycles, until Group A. is made up entirely of former Group B. members. Now that everyone from Group B. has the item, there is no one left to sell it to at the value it was going for. Enter Group C. Group C. kinda wanted the item, but was not willing to pay Group B. prices. Group B. no longer wants the item, sells to Group C. Price drop. You get the idea now. The point is, that there are enough Mark IV Toyota Supras out there to fill Group B. They just have not all gotten there yet.
The Supra does have potential to be a classic car, with real collectible value though. Don't get me wrong. Because the current collectors will continue to drive them, and destroy them regularly. Somewhere down the line this vehicle will probably be very rare. I just don't agree that today is that day.

i would take the supra, my 800+whp is pleanty of fun(so is 190mph) and handles just fine granted its not the best at steep sharp turns, but then again it weighs quite a bit more than the lil porsche, not to bad on gas and the cockpit is amazing i couldnt imagine squeezing 200more wheel horsepower into my car i dont think many people could drive it let alone shift in it..
