I've always had better luck with tires that have softer sidewalls even if they are a less grippy compound. Let air out, and then the sidewall flex helps keep the tires gripping at the launch v.s. spinning when there is no give in the sidewalls.

The azenis are better than most simply b/c of the really grippy compound. But if you go to a tire with a slightly less grippy compound but a softer sidewall, you can cut even better times.

Minimum Weights
4-cylinder, maximum displacement 2.4 liter: 2,350 pounds
6-cylinder, maximum displacement 3.0 liter: 2,650 pounds

ENGINE
Engine swaps permitted. OEM engine mounting points mandatory.
Engine must be from same manufacturer as body. Engine must be
overhead-cam, production-based design. Engine must be in stock,
transverse configuration. Single throttle body only. Dry sumps,
vacuum pumps, prohibited. External oil pumps prohibited.

EXHAUST
All exhaust must flow through functioning muffler(s); must exit
behind rear tires. Any vehicle that did not come equipped with a
muffler(s) from the factory permitted, provided complete,
unmodified (except for header) OEM exhaust system is utilized.

INTERIOR
Complete interior, including dashboard, door panels, headliner, etc.
mandatory. Rear seat may be removed, but all other upholstery
and panels must remain in place. Two matching, upholstered front
seats mandatory. Aftermarket seats permitted, but must be fully
upholstered. All factory controls must be retained and operative;
i.e., lights, signals, horn, windows, and wipers.

TIRES
DOT approved radial tires, front and rear, mandatory. Rear
“skinnies” prohibited. Maximum diameter 25.0 inches. Maximum
width 225. All tires must be DOT approved and warranted for
highway use. Retreads, space-saver spares, or any other non-DOTapproved
tire prohibited.

Azenis hook pretty good i have broken a few axels on them but they tend to hope too.
i have got a full interior 94 coupe and it only weighs like 2300 with me in it.
i cant run in the street class tho i have more than one throttle body.
