I agree tho racing on the street is bad and i catch myself doing it sometimes. But havent in a couple of years since I am a bit wiser. Good luck.
They had a story on MSNBC the other night about bait cars. A police department in Ohio had one that, after being stolen, it would lock all the doors, shut off the engine, and the radio would start playing Bad Boys. It was hilarious to see the 2 idiots inside freaking out when the car cut off and the music came on.

I think the upshot is that if you're not doing something stupid then they're not going to bust you.

If I go up to Starbucks on a Sat night and buy a Frappichino and sit and bullshit with my friends, the police can't do shit about it. At that point I'm a customer of Starbucks, therefore I'm not trespassing.

Now when I leave, that opens me up to enforcement of Traffic laws....

THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING STUPID SHIT LIKE BURNING OUT OR SHOWING OFF YOUR CRAPPY EXHAUST OR BOV. THAT'S WHAT ATTRACTS THE COPS....AND THAT'S WHEN YOU GET TICKETS FOR ALL THE ILLEGAL SHIT ON YOUR CAR

For some odd reason this does not surprise me...If the cops want to put thousands of dollars into buying EVO's and WRX's & Honda's to "stop a meet up spot" that ridiculous. All the cops have to do is simply ride around and chill at a spot with the tuners but we know theywanna have some fun also. Yeah the money should be going against crime prevention or schools or road building but the cops want something to do. Its just another form of harassment and something we have to learn to adapt to. It's going to be a real challenge determining who is the cop and who is not(at least I think). Drag yall need to keep your eyes peeled because for some reason I bet this thread starter is not lying. Oh yeah & Big ups to you for letting us know the low down despite of what other people are saying about your "disloyalty". Who wants to be loyal to cops? <---One of the dirtiest institutions known to man. Wake up people!

They do this out in cali, i remember reading an article about it in moddified magazine.

What i don't understand is how come they can mod their cars with exhausts and tints and then give you guys tickets for the same mods that they have on their cars. That is BS.

After becoming a member here i am afraid to drive into SOVA anymore.

Im glad thread-starter gave everyone a heads up (if this is all really going down). I don't think its a necessary action for the police to take at all. Even if I was a non-tuner, I would want to know that my taxes are paying for the police to drive a squad of hooked up cars. That doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. Who is in power right now that allows for this to happen? I'd like to cast my vote for the other guy.

they dont have to be buying a damn thing. they took like 9 peoples cars just a couple weeks ago in norfolk...they have a steady flow of repo's to work with...think about it. and wouldnt it be a bitch to get pulled over by one of your old cars, or one of your buddies old cars? ouch...

damnit, beat me to it by like 2 seconds

thats exactly what i was about to say...

assuming this is all true, i'm sure the majority of the cars they would use would be impounded. The whoel situation does seem a little extreme, and regardless, i can't imagine it being very effective. I know the people i hang out with on the weekend and i see the same faces and the same cars at the same spots. If a group of 5 modded cars(as described, all the same color and all with body kits) decided to pull into on of the "spots" and no one knew who they were i think that would arouse some suspicion.

from what was already said in the thread, i don't think that these "under-cover" cars exist simply to patrol the streets and pull unsuspecting people over. They are apparently trying to "infiltrate" street racing. They want to come out on the weekends and be embraced by the community so they can find out who's stealing all of the electronics out of the semi-trucks
