hahah it happened all right. hahaha I'll get pictures up today after I wash the car. I do need to find someone with a rivet gun so i can rivet into place instead of the black tap screws that came with it. I also put a line of silicone to seal it to make sure it sticks.


Also, can anyone tell me if i take my wheels in to get the lips repolished, do i have to get my tires dismounted? My wheels are volks/2pcs. (GT-V's)

 

Prolly not if its 2 piece, then they'll just disassemble it and polish the part that needs polish, just my guess though.

 

The lips need to be repolished already? Did you buy them brand new or used?

Did you use wheel cleaner on your Volks? A year or two back I made that mistake on my GT-7's and it stained beneath the clear coat on each lip. I repolished them on my own; a good 4-6 hours on each wheel. I put my stocks on while I disassembled each wheel to get better access to each lip. That shit was a pain in the ass.

 

two of th wheels are brand new and two of are used. It was used on a shop/show car. they had two sets of wheels on the car. two on each side. to show the wheels i guess. its not in major need for it but i'm a perfectionist some what... hahahah
