I only read sungs initial posts, not the entire thread, so forgive me if i say thigns that have been said already. As terrible as the Ptown incident has been, it can be used to our benfit with the media. If we had a track, thigns liek street racing woudlnt be as rampant. im not saying it wont happen, but a local track woudl help some. i and my family have numerous connections with not only a few local police forces but also the fraternal order of police, ona local and state level. so, someone let me know if/when we get this rolling and i will do what i can to put bugs in the right peoples ears to help gain support.

there used to be a strip down in creeds. awhile back! the thing is, once you build one of these facilities, the up-keep is usually what end-up being the downfall of the place. yeah, you can maybe get the backing for the place, but how long until people wanna start getting stupid again? in CA, didn't the police and some businesses get together to open a place on sundays where people could get together and hang & race? seems i remember something about this. the 'events' were held in industrial areas where there would be like zero traffic during those times. i actually have looked into doing some development with some of my land out in suffolk, but city ordinaces would destroy these types of plans. there is a place being built (i think still!?!?!) outside of billysburg called dragon's ridge, but the cost was like that of a private golf club. it was like $10,000/year and like 30 hours total of track time or something like that.
Sung, PM me and we can talk about a couple of other ideas.

Replacing words with letters is pretty stupid if you ask me.

Here's a list: http://members.tripod.com/airfields_...VA_Norfolk.htm

If you look through them you'll find that either they have a turf air strip (great for a rally, not so good for anything else) OR (for the ones that have concrete) are being used by someone else.

There were a few that looked like pretty good candidates, Creeds NOLF in particular. However, most of them seemed to be owned by the government. I'm not sure how that will effect what we're trying to do.

EDIT: Damn! Beat to the punch -_-"

One thing I don't believe anyone has mentioned yet, we still need security. Top Guard or something, I doubt the city will give us officers to use, and they will defintally not let us police ourselves.

we will also need EMS/EMT on duty whenever the track is open.
