if it was me...i'd get a FD or a s2000 or a MR-S. think about it B. widebody veilside turbo mr-s.....cheap insurance pimp ass ride. orignial to this area and can turn like a mofo. Oh snap what about a turbo IS300? i'm sure you already are feeling the need for a 4 door. it sucks only having one open seat when your trying to pick up hoes

 

Nahh if he wants to really do something original for this area go with an old school A2 dub and do a Turbo VR6 swap with AWD, it's been done, you can buy the Polo drivetrain from overseas (AWD A2 Golf I believe) and mate it to the VR6, now THAT would be badass!
Actually I think the vanagons have some sort of AWD system from that era too... not sure tho. also Tripleseis the IS300 would be killer, I want one of those but they aren't cheap!

 

Im not going to read 6 pages of blah so I'm just going to simply say this STi vs EVO rivalry has been droned over...whoever is truely going to consider buying one of these cars needs to drive them, decide on their own which provides the most bang for the buck. I will say I see way more WRX's and STi's than EVO's on the road so there must be a reason. Plus, Road & Track gave its Readers Choice award to the STi. Still, its your money..enjoy whichever you choose.

I say buy a '03 cobra, Not original but w/ $1000 worth of bolt ons you can have a pretty fast car.

 

well i have to say i own a wrx...but there platforms are excellent and they are really powerful cars...the evo handles a lot better than a sti but the stis handeling isnt shitty...even though the sti has more power it isnt too much faster than an evo...but for reliability id go for the sti...but it really all depends your personal preference

i see mor STi's on the road then i do evo's get the evo, the mods make more improvement in performance then the STi's do imo. or buy the 03 cobra do intake and exhaust and rear tires and run mid 12's

 

Get the Sti...if u are open to other cars look into the z06/'03 cobra...my friend ran 12.7 bone stock on his '03 cobra with his bald ass stock tires...

 

Well it looks like you got some hard choices ahead of you...wish it was me! Only thing
I can tell you is drive them and get a feel for them. Out the box both kick serious ass
Both look hella sweet..Both take to mods real good and have a strong after-market
following! If it were me I would read up on there respective forums to gather info for
each car i.e. common problems, where to buy after market stuff, things of that nature.
Then I would go to the stealership and test drive both and compare the two. I would
also compare standard features and see which car offers more for the money keeping
in mind that performance wise they are very close in nature. Then I would get insurance quotes for both. In closing, I would see which dealership offered the best
price for the car, because I'm a cheap ass I would go back and forth and hassell them
to death to my advantage because I know THEY WANT MY BUSINESS$$.
