for this sub-photography forum, look at other photo forums online and see how they set it up.
Car thread (car 'photoshoot')
all of dragva can view and *post
Critique thread(ANY type of comments allowed)
dragva can view but only photocrew allowed to post.
etc thread (soon to be stangin for example, flower series, norfolk at night etc)
dragva can view and *post
threads will only have pics taken by people who actually know who to use their camera. like pics of cars that look like some ad for auto trader or ebay shall be kept in eyecandy.
thread titles will actually be the title of the series or project (ex. Norfolk at Night and not "few pics from day", "nice shots of my car". etc
the maximum shots that are posted by the postee should only be 5. so itll be up to the postee, to find the BEST 5 shots of the series and not all 13 of em.
*posting --anyone should be allowed to post/reply/comment(good or bad)/ask questions. but not suggest. the shots were taken by a photographer with his/her own intentions.
no low blows are allowed when posting about the pics. the replies should be your opinion on what you think of the pics or what the photographer was trying to accomplish and not in a sacrcasm way.
of course there are gonna be alot of admirers(sp?). they would post their series in eyecandy and if the moderator sees the photo thread is acceptable, he can move the thread to the Photo forum.
thats all i could think of now. and what i had to go through in school.

Guess, the quality of the photographer's pics partly depend on the camera eh (Unless you have a 35mm hehe)? Too bad I don't have a dedicated film scanner
I like the idea that only "photocrew members" can start threads.
I like the idea that registered users can post in those threads.
I don't like the idea of creating a thread with the pictures, then a link for comments...to me that sounds like the "Featured Ride" section.
I would also suggest a well developed set of rules and strict moderation of them.
I would also suggest that "entry" into the 'photocrew' never be closed, because what if one day someone else figures out how to take good pictures, or someone who can take good pictures registers?
Good luck.
