v8 brick: a few months ago
it was stated that 12's really arent that fast, and that one could buy a car and directly from the show room floor in full trim run 12's....well no shit. If I wanted that I would have bought a vette or mod out a wrx, evo, camaro...ect. But when someone builds a car from the ground up (bodywork, engine buildup...didnt pay someone to do it) and then that same person goes to the track and runs 12's for a fraction of what it cost to buy a new car off the showroom floor....12's are fast.
i said you had one bad ass car and good for you that you went the rout you went... but thats what you wanted to do and hey 12s a quick no matter if you built it yourself or bought it of the showroom floor and it ran 12s. once again you have a badass truck.. i say that every time i see it.
edit: just to let you know i do almost all the work myself... well i didnt rebuild my tranny but thats about it..

I give you credit for building a fast truck for cheap. I think thats most people's motto here. I also give you credit for keeping up with a turbo 302. You may have let off, I have no way of knowing that (it sure seemed like you were still on it)... but you didnt pull away so at best that puts your cars at even.
get off the internet and call dynojet.. they have a dyno with load on it.. you want dynojet number or you can find your own number since your ass sits on internet all the time.
most of SD people does own work and they know the basic.. not like bunch of kids who read up on internet all day long and ague with poeple like.... LO..... whatever the fuck his name is..

Again, I like your truck, the main reason I posted that thread a while back was to ask about your setup and figure out what you were running because it was damn quick.

I just agreed with someone that just because a car showed 135 mph @ a certain rpm on a dyno doesnt mean it will hit 135 mph@ the exact same rpm, in the same gear on the street. Dynojets don't always show the true accuracy of a cars hp because it doesnt throw in all the load, and resistance, etc that is felt on the road like a mustang dyno does. Yes i am sure some of their models may allow certain functions, but just because a mph is hit on a dyno, doesnt mean it will happen each time.
Not every shop has the EXACT same dyno as well being they have different models
there dickhead. Maybe I should go sit my ass back on the internet and argue over a fucking dyno.

if the volvo won from a roll by pulling past after 100 then that is one thing. i dont know what gears he is running but an s10 truck probaly dosnt like to go to far past 100 anyways. but on a drag strip he might win with no prob because he only needs to stay past him for a 1/4 mile. my old car was a 13 second car but i could beat nearly any import i raced from a roll because i could just take it all the way up to 160 where most cars around here wont go because of factory speed cut systems and gearing. that didnt make me have a quicker car i could just go much faster. i did get passed by a zr1 vette one time when i was going 145 and the vette made it look i was standing still. but some of the street cars around here might beat that vette in the 1/4 mile. i dont know what im even trying to say here im just rambling.
