It was placed in the GT300 class, which is limited to 300hp. So basically, they're almost cutting the vipers HP in half, because they didnt want to let it compete in the GT500 class against cars that it is used to competeing in, in a little race called LeMans.

also if you read in your post, it no where says that the viper was in the GT300 class, it merely stated the "Only American Car to enter was the Viper"

that was all it stated.

 

What do you want me to tell you, I posted proof, not a roster. I dont follow the series at all.

They're talking about GT300 qualifying, and then they say the only American car to enter is the Viper, how much more 1+1=2 can you get?

obviously the viper couldnt handle its own in JGTC

 

Not when they took half of its HP it cant. Its a big car, it weighs 3200lbs and was DESIGNED around 500hp, yanking 200 of that away makes it an underpowered pig.
