I guarantee I wont hit a 13 second slip on my first run, but I think that after a few I'll be able to hit a high 13 off the showroom floor. i hope you understand what is all involved in doing a gear. you should never have to take your pinion seal out to do the gear. you said shortly after doing the gear the pinion seal was leaking. maybe it just went bad. all i am saying is that your pinion seal has nothing to do with a gear install. and if it did leak again you should have said something. you are talking about a $3 seal that even the dumbest of the dumb can put in. just four bolts, one nut,a screw driver and a hammer cant fix. 

any tech that is worth a shit will replace the pinion seal when doing a gear, along with the crush sleeve. a "$3" seal is cheap insurance, no?
