Local S2000/Ferrari F40 owners dicsussion thread
The sizes:
17x7.5 +43 w/ 225/45 RE11s
17x9.5 +47 w/ 255/40 RE11s
It's hard to find used CEs in this sizing for the S2000. Most of the sets you'll find are the standard S2000 specs (non-aggressive), or completely dumb sizing... wheels that are 9/10" wide with an offset below +30. If you would order these new from Volk, you're looking at $3k+ and a 3-6 month wait.
Do RE-11's run as wide as RS3's or Z2's? Or are they more narrow?
I'm probably going to order 245/40/17 RE-11A's Friday, along with Swift Spec R springs, and possibly an eibach front sway. I might hold off on the front sway until I get everything else on the car to see if it needs it. The Spec R springs are a little bit more front biased as far as the f/r spring rate ratio goes, so it might not add as much oversteer as people seem to think. I dont really think the car is that oversteer happy from the factory anyway, it seems incredibly neutral to me.

Between the AD08, RS3, RE11 and ZII, the RE11 is the narrowest out of the group. I think it has to do a lot with them having very square shoulders. The AD08 will be the widest for sure. I had 245 AD08s on my old Advan RSs, which were a 9", and there was zero stretch to them. They seem to run just as wide as R-comps.
if you love your car. I waxed the car at work, and brought it home and noticed I missed a spot under the spoiler. So I waxed the whole car again, lol. First world problems.
Nice having a full size 2 garage to park the car, take bhs, and stare at my beautiful piece of machinery listening to some Nadia Ali.
Thanks, yep I got the last one in stock. It's a funky looking thing with the helmholtz resonator, but I think it looks cool. Has everything you could want from a single- decent hp gains, a nice tone in VTEC, and it won't drive you to insanity cruising on the highway like the 70RR. Of course that's all speculation till it's actually on the car haha.
