Cycle whore thread
dude... idk i've ridden every chance I got the last 2 weeks. That includes sunday and the other couple days last week where it rained like fuck.
Was I cold? yes, and soaking wet despite my rain gear.
Did I care? FUCK NO! In fact it was just as enjoyable if not more so because riding 45 minutes in the rain makes you a fucking badass.
I'm looking into getting some knobby tires and putting studs into them for when it snows like crazy this winter.

I'll probably ride a little this winter, but I think she'll stay in the garage for the majority of it. Good chance to tear it down and go over some things.
I daily drove a bike for 3 years. Work at 6am off at 7pm and home from the gf's at around 11. Pretty much no sunlight to even keep me warm. That shit gets old really fast and I spent way too much money on hot chocolate.
everyone keep your bikes locked up. someone stole my roomates 2009 white gsxr600 with less than 2k miles.. i was working on my Z at right around 8pm, lastnight it was still sitting where its been for 2 weeks.. chris(streetskater) came in asking if i used the bike b/c it wasnt in its parking spot.. we(me and my gf to make sure they didnt mess with mine and to walk around to look) ran out. that was at 10pm.. so they stole it from around 8pm-10pm.
so keep a eye out. we have another Piece of shit boosting bikes again

I rode all last winter (as did Irrelevant and j4k3) -- We rode one night when it was in the 20s.. Were we badasses? No, we were fucking stupid. I've ridden cold weather, and just not motivated like I used to be.. Much easier to get into the truck and roll out, so I think my bike just became toy status.

You guys are ok in my book!
I'm considering riding a the bike b/c during the blizzard we could wear whatever we wanted to anyway and I'm only like 6 miles from work. Basically a straight shot too.
Besides fucktards assume that since you drive a little Ford Ranger that you can pull their civic out of the ditch in 3+ ft of snow. The next time some asshole jumps out in front of my truck waving his arms to try and flag me down (causing me to swerve into the opposite ditch) I'm just gonna run them over.
Or I could just drive a bike and stop just long enough to laugh in their face.

haha. real talk, I just bought a bunch of silicone and wire loom wrap tape shit.
I'm about to water-proof everything just to be sure that I can ride anytime without fear of disastrous mechanical failure.
The toughest part is figuring out how to keep the carbs and air filters dry...
I'm considering designing a fiberglass a shroud or something that I can clip on over the carb holder boots to at least keep that area somewhat dry contained and dry in the rain.
