does he still have the indy car and the Carrera GT?
The Indy car is still here and for sale. The Carrera GT is not for sale and is back in his garage at home. We rearranged the showroom yesterday and there's no room for it.
White Jesus, it's built on the GT2 platform to conform to GT1 rules. Porsche didn't have a GT1 car, so they used the GT2 tub and put on wider bodywork (notice that it's held on by quick-release fasteners. It's composite rather than steel), different suspension pick-up points, larger turbochargers and a host of other changes. The GT2 was allowed to make right around 400 horsepower at the crank whereas the GT1 class was allowed to make roughly 600.
The car that replaced the Evo in the GT1 class was the 993 GT1. Those are very rare and only a few were built before the 996-based GT1. I'm on my phone and I don't have a photo of a 993 GT1, but I'll post one later.
