and had Chey in Richmond install them. The lexan is a little flimsy though, wish it was glass or something thicker.

Im facepalming because havent you tried like 10 different idea's with this car? And always manage to find this new and better idea? I bolded the "little shit here and there" because that's where you need to add a extra 2k. Shit here and there adds up fast, and where the small minor over looked stuff takes people for all theyve got and make them quit.
Harness- nope, not free, Im sure your going to need a SR wiring harness, and if youve never wired a car before, you will quickly learn how tedious and painstaking it is. Your whole car could not start, and you might not ever know why because of some forgotten ground.
What about a driveshaft? And a rear end? What about when this shop realizes they are in over their head's and cant do it? or they need another 1000 bucks to finish them?
RB in a miata is absolutely stupid. They are ungodly heavy, and super expensive
2nd Rywire is building a pretty much plug and play harness the only wires you would need to connect is the ones to your dash (gauges/AC/ etc)
3rd driveshaft well there are 2 shops that build them around where i live
4th rear end well there is the Rx7 rear or if i plan on really making power i'll order the v8r rear end kit .
So this isn't something that just popped up in my head i have been thinking about this for a month or 2 now . I've been contacting a number of fab shops to see if any one would take on this kind of job most said NO . They ones that said they could do the work (2 on the west coast) gave me the best price but its a little hard to get the car to them right now . So now i have one thats about 1 hour away but i don't get a warm feeling from them . The next one is in NJ and i'm waiting to hear back from them right now .
So this is planned out as well as it could considering if all else fails i'll order up the mounts from the 1 company that makes them and then find a place local to make the oil pan .
