I put one of those on bike a few weeks ago. LOOOOOUUUUUUUD!!!
On most bikes you can bypass the relay crap that comes with it and hook the compressor straight to your existing horn (-) and (+). If you do wire it that way, hit the horn for a good five seconds, if it pops the fuse, you should wire in the relay, if not, you're golden.
If you're hitting the horn for more than 5 seconds straight, you have some road rage issues you should work on, lol.

lol, yeah, I'll just wire the relay, just in case. I hooked it up on my dad's bike (he= biker genius, me= qualified electrician) and we got my sister, mom and the dog to almost piss themselves.

didn't know you were an electrician, or I'd have said otherwise. Trying to explain all that wiring to some people gets me nowhere. At least you know what I'm refering to. The "best way" is with the relay.
