Check the junkyards on route 17, some of them have some pretty wild stuff.
I was down there about 5 months ago and saw a 1937 Dodge sedan sitting in the lot that still had the 1937 factory owners manual in the glove box.

Umm yeah, perhaps in your Gran Turismo inspired fantasy land they don't.
In the real world where the rest of us live junkyards love nothing more than to sell every part for they can salvage off a car.
Especally the shell since scrap metal prices have been very low since about 1997 or so.

to tell you the truth my dad and uncle both own junk yards and know other yards around here and they all dont sell shells, becuase they have either a nonrepairable title or branded which means you wont be able to fix the shell up and drive it..but hey what do i know

People take such shells and use them for race cars.
For example, in 2000 when Ford made the Mustang Cobra R there were several test mules that were built before the actual production cars were made. These mules could never be legally titled or sold so they are usually crushed.
In this case one of the shells was sold to a guy who turned into a race car that competes on the Pro 5.0 circuit.
Now obviously what you know isn’t much, but then again most of you in the 10 inch tach crowd rarely do.
