Audi/VW owners input needed!!!
Alright so this guys wants to trade me his 2001 Audi s4 for my motorcycle. I dont know much about these cars so any input would be great.
It has 164000 miles
2.7l twin turbo engine
6 speed trans
sliver with black leather interior
sunroof, heated seats
the electrical control mod has been replaced along with the timing belt, fuel pump, and the clutch. (he has receipts)
was just wondering if there is anything i should look out for besides the usual. I am a little worried about the miles but since the clutch and timing belt have already been replaced it might be ok. kbb says its worth like 6200 in good condition, do you guys have any idea on what the actually go for? Thanks.

I'd be weary of anything with 160k+ miles on it... Chances are, you're in for an engine / tranny rebuild in the near future... dunno how much that is for those cars, but I can tell you this.... it ain't no Chevy....

Re: Audi/VW owners input needed!!!
well he's had the "big" maintenance job done, but I'd check to see if the the turbos have been replaced...those ko3 tend to go bad around that time, but that doesn't mean his will....the dead pixels on in the gauge cluster can be a pain...as for as the motor needing a rebuild, that all depends on how he drove the car. If he beat on it every day then yes get one done, if not and the car has been at stock boost since 01 then don't worry about it...any more questions feel free to ask
