Default Need a JOB! (i will wash cars, work on cars, detail cars, or even yard work!)

ok so im leaving for college in a few months. and i am still broke. i had a job at brusters (ice cream shop) and i got promoted to crew leader within 2 months! so i am trustworthy. but when winter rolled around they didnt need me anymore. and i havent had a job since because of the economy.. i am willing to wash and clean out peoples cars. and even wax and buffer them! (i have my own buffer) or i can do routine fixes (oil, fuel filters, change brake pads, spark plugs, batteries, alternators, serpintine belts, etc.) or i can help along with a big project like swapping a tranny or turbo'ing. i just need money! i will even do yard work or something. or someone can recommend a job at a shop to apply for if anyone knows of any openings.

i can even restore headlights

What is your major? Do you have the equipment to shampoo car carpets?

i could get some, just some cleaner from turtle wax or something.

im starting off my major as "materials joining and welding" and then transfering over the "mechanical engineer". the reason im not starting in mechanical engineer is because the school im going to wont have mechanical engineer until my sophmore year

DO you have your own yard work implements? If you can get up leaves, haul them off, and cut the grass found underneath I could give you some work. My yard is about a half acre. PM me if you are interested.

$8.50 per hour turned. its commission work. most of it is easy gravy work. at a relaxed pace you can average 15-18 hours a day depending on business. not bad for a college kid. my best is 26 hours with staying a few hours late.

you guys need to tighten up on that and quit cutting corners... i have an acquaintance who bought a new TL on a saturday afternoon when all the detailers had left for the day, brought it back the following week for the "detailing appointment" and all they did was spray it down with a hose and put some tire shine on. didnt clean the windows, wheels, or even bother to spray detail it.

they had it back there for an hour so they knew they had to make it look like something happened. your dealership lost a service customer because of that... its a simple job, just do it.
