i worked it. it was a pretty decent show. missed the 2 good bands though. too lazy to drive back early to see them. saw the first half of 3doors down, they were decent.
It was funny, when we were setting up the guitar tray earlier this morning, the guitarist from 3DD came up to the stage. his tech was restringing one of his guitars and didn't really say anything, but hey whats goin on (i mean, he was polite and all, but just didn't say much). He just sat there and watched his guitar get restrung for a couple seconds then just left. i was like, damn, thats tight. getting paid for watching and chillen and having someone else baby your work tools. thats the life.
quick load in and out too, good production

I saw them in 2001. If you ask me they overdo their shows. I like a band that is raw on stage, so its the band not the produciton you are seeing. Lucky fark is what that guitarist is. I dont know its kinda weird, I dont trust ANYONE with my guitfiddle let alone let someone else restring it and work on them. Then again he has lots of money to pay some dude to do that to his 5 million guitars.

I have the fortune to know some of the members of 3doors down. A relative was stationed with Chris, one of the guitarists, when he was in the navy. We went to their show at the boathouse last year, and hung out on one of their buses. They are hard core southern boys if you know what I mean. IE fishing, trucks, etc.
Oh and they make a point to walk around the crowds too before they go on stage, and dont get caught too often
My family was there, as usual, said it was a decent show, but the guys are tired of performing, and being away from home.
