Any recommendations for a local VA bike engine builder?
I am in need of a somewhat local engine builder that is capable of building a CBR engine. Just curious if any of you have any experience with any local builders and can give honest recommendations. Quality is of the utmost concern, as I can't afford to have it crap out on me due to a bad build.

you want a stock build or are you looking to do some performance mods?
i'd say that i'd do it, but i have a few motor jobs already in the works, i guess it would depend on when you're trying to get something done.
i know some really good motor guys in the 757, but don't really know too many in your area.

what are you looking to get done? what year/size cbr? (newer ones have nicasil coated cylinders that have to be recoated if you do a big bore)
portwork?cams?bore?stroke? n.a.or forced induction?
gimme an idea of what you want, and i can point you to some people that can do it. all the guys i know are fairly specialized.
