Group riding guidelines

Group riding guidelines
-we ask that riders have a minimum riding experience of 1000 miles riding time. Also if your bike is new, it needs to be past the break in period.
- All new riders, regardless of experience, will ride in the back of the group - in front of the sweepers their first 1 - 2 rides, to determine their riding skill level.
- You need to be able to ride a minimum of the posted speed limit (or the flow of traffic) especially on the freeway. If you are not comfortable riding at these speeds, you are not ready for group riding.
-No drinking alcohol or using drugs before or during group rides. If you are under the influence while riding, you will be asked to leave.
- Always follow the designated leader of the ride.
- All riders will ride in a tight staggered pattern, meaning you need to keep
tight enough that cars don't get between bikes, while giving yourself and the other bikes room to maneuver. (one bike length apart rule).
- Always watch the rider in front of you, if you and another rider collide (hopefully not!) it's the rider in the back fault; for riding too close, not watching, etc.
- Stunting or riding in an un-safe manner is not allowed. Any rider who would like to perform stunts, please do so outside of the group
- If you are separated from the group by a car, do not ride in the shoulder or split lanes to catch up.
- Know your limits and ride within them.
Group riding is not for everyone if you can not adhere to these rules, please do not ride with the group.
If you have more info for me to add let me know
