ok, long story short i got a trojan that fuxed with my registry and i made the mistake of using a registry "fixer". Windows will no longer start.

I need Win XP installed on my laptop. I have my own CD key and I will pay $$ to use someone's Win XP CD. I'm in Norfolk right on ODU campus.

PM, reply, email, or calling (571 278 3886) will all work.

ya, i dunno if i can trust an OS from torrent. I got into this hairy situation from illegally watching the new episode of the Office not from NBC lol.

question: XP home VS XP Pro. My Laptop came OEM with XP home says the sticker on the bottom, yet I have reasons to believe it has the Pro edition installed since it does not say Home under Windows XP upon start up. It is possible my dad had the OS upgraded before he gave it to me. My question is are the CD keys interchangeable?

IIRC, when XP SP2 came out, they removed the designation on the splashscreen, and it just says 'Windows XP' now.
