I don't know that I would really call a 95 ZX6R to a 2005/2006/2007 650R a downgrade. I personally think he should keep both if he can afford it, since I would hope a 95 would be paid in full by now..... but it's a cool old bike. I'd love to have it as an extra toy but can't afford any more toys right now.

If I had the money I would try to pick it up but let us think about this. an ex500 has a top speed of 137 theoretically. I have taken my ex500 to 140 and it was still accelerating but had used up all the speedo. The 650r has a top speed of 140. Now a 95 zx6r still has top speed of somewhere around 160+. There may be some benefits of the 650r short wheelbase with a longer swing arm. triangular set up of the engine tranny and other parts make for it being compact and a casset style tranny. Really though unless that zx6r is really trashed I think that yes it is a bit of a down grade. Not trying to pick on you though Mr. Seller sir though, please do not take these comments out of context. Just out of curiosity I saw a ninja like the one you are selling at Coleman power sports that was in similar condition....did you buy it from Coleman's?

Nope, didn't get it from Coleman's. I got it from a private seller that had it for 4 years and drove it for about 3k miles. Also, I don't really look at it as downgrading, more of changing to a bike that is more my style. The 650r is of course a 2006, fuel injected, handles better, and rides a lot more comfortably that the zx6r. I'm not interested in a top speed bike, otherwise I would have picked up a friend's busa. Like I said though, I'm only selling this because I don't have the means to keep 2 bikes. I bought the zx6r before the 650r, and literally rode it once for 10-15 miles before the 650r deal fell into my lap.
