MacBook programs for ECU

Re: MacBook programs for ECU
There are netbooks out there for like 200 bucks and they're small enough to keep in your glovebox, that's the one drawback to owning a Mac (i know firsthand) all the programs you want are PC only.

Run dual mode with XP. A few of my software developer friends do that so they can code/test iPhone apps and then do other projects which require Windows-based programming environments. I know you're not going to be doing that, but I'm just saying that running dual OS is easily done all the time on Macs.
There aren't enough Mac people out there interested in tuning to make it worthwhile to write software for two operating systems.

Can you imagine if all of your tuning, reflashes, and diagnostics had to be done through iTunes? I would drive the car off of a cliff. I bought a Sony instead of a iPod just so I could use 3rd party software; iTunes makes me want to kick puppies (don't know why it makes me so mad, but it does..).

I would suggest this. That way you don't have to exit OSX or partition your Macbook Pro's HDD.
The only VW "tuning" software (that I'm aware of) is Ross-Tech's diagnostic software. What VW are you talking about?
