Default First time at track

I went to the track for the first time over the weekend! Didnt go too bad, i had some problems with wheel hop. Im going to order a bushing kit today to help out with that. What other little small things would help me? I got a stage two clutch, resurfaced flywheel, intake and 2 1/2" piping w/magnaflow muffler.Im hoping to do better this weekend when i go.

A 60 foot 2.4 sucks. You need a set of slicks. What rpm are you launching from? With a better 60ft you would be in the 14.s. Advance your timing and run some race fuel.

like i said it was my first time, i think on this run i launched at 3000 rpm, no matter what i did i either spun through first or had wheel hop halfway throgh first.

Thats part of control. I know people with 115 crank HP that can't control their cars in 1st and 2nd gear and wonder why they ran a 17sec run. Well if you can't control that then you will have even more problems with 200whp. its all about getting the 60' times down which basically means 1st and 2nd. It can be done without drag slicks

to prevent wheel hop I would go get better engine mounts. you could also get a two step launch system or just feather your clutch slightly so you will not spin.
