SOHC v-tec turbo...?
i'm thinking about putting a turbo on my single v-tec motor. i was just wondering does anyone have any comments about this? if so, i'd appreciate any help on how to set up the motor for this upgrade; like internals and everything. i'm putting all of this in an 88 CRX Si...

Re: SOHC v-tec turbo...?
how much money are you working with? this kinda thing has been covered quite a few times. Long story short something like a T25 or t3 will spool nicely, a good tune on say 7-8 lbs of boost should make for a nice streetable car. However, in all D series motors the rods are the weekest point when boosting... If you have the money I recommend AT LEAST eagle h-beams or if you want to be ghetto you can use LS rods and have the block notched. plus do a search on here and look around on www.d-series.org good luck

Re: SOHC v-tec turbo...?
i turboed one last week, not hard to do at all, id say the hardest part is tapping the oil pan for the oil feed line. Hes running all stock internals but is only running 5lbs of boost until he upgrades everything. But due to a bad bad bad speeding ticket hes selling the whole car

how bad of a speeding ticket can make you sell your car? I got a double wreckless and a intent to kill all on one slab 106 in a 65 and i still drive. But that does let you know that the sohc with boost can kick some ass but not enough ass to run from the cops hahaha tell him to get a lawyer and to unsew any orphaces he might have already. life goes on
