Re: College transcript question
It should be replaced by your new grade, thus not affecting your GPA. Its called grade forgiveness. You can only re-take the class once though.

Re: College transcript question
It depends on the school. Some schools have a repeat-delete policy, which will drop that class completely off if you retake and get a passing grade, etc.

Re: College transcript question
It DOES show up on your transcript. It DOES NOT affect GPA, AS LONG as it is taken again in a back to back semester. Transcript is literally a record of everything you've doen in college(or high school). I'm an office aid at my shcool.

Re: College transcript question
negative to the people who say it goes away.
It will always stay on your record forever. BUT it wont count towards your gpa (dependant on what your school's policy are) Colleges will be able to see the grades.

Re: College transcript question
To everybody saying otherwise, check the schools policy. I know at CNU the retake will replace the grade and it WONT show up on the transcript, but at ODU it WILL show up on the transcript.

Re: College transcript question
The actual grade doesn't show up if you do the grade forgiveness.
However the class still does (so it'll say the class name and a blank for the grade)
<-- seen it first hand
