Bass blockers
Anyone know the values for the capacitors I need to buy to make bass blockers? I am looking for like a 120 Mhz HPF for my front speakers. I dont remember this stuff, its been so long since I have messed with audio.

Re: Bass blockers
resistor, cap, cap, resistor, ground. Put inductors between each component to ground.
EDIT: I mean... the inductors go parellel to ground.
Man, I'm jet lagged. But I just can't get to sleep.

Re: Bass blockers
Turns out a friend of mine had some sitting at home and gave them to me.
If anyone cares the values I used are 100uF, 100V they do the trick quite nicely

Re: Bass blockers
Make sure they are non-polarized caps.. If you just are using caps in series, you aren't making a very fast rolloff filter, one component in series is only a 3dB (or 6dB, I don't remember) rolloff. That just means that you're not blocking as much of the lower freq energy as you would with a higher rolloff filter..
