Tires locally

Re: Tires locally
i've yet to find anywhere in Roanoke.every place i've tried or my friends have tried has damaged wheels at least once.
i have a friend that mounts and balances my crap wheels.for my nice wheels,i go all the way to Charlotte to the guy that tunes my cars!
there are plenty of places that have nice Hunter or similar equipment, but they just have a shortage of capable people to use them.i have no doubt that i could walk right into any of these places and do a better job, after only messing around on my friend's machine some.

Re: Tires locally
depending on what kind of tires, you can go to wimmer tire on 460. Tell Ted that Benn sent you.
Or you can go to the shelor quick lane too, they can do them as well, especially the hard to work with low profiles.

Re: Tires locally
my theories: if you can mount a 35 series on an old coates rim clamp, you are good.
what are you looking for? i may know someone that can help. south main has an Artiglio Master, however there are issues with some of their employees and knowing how to use it correctly.
the machine dont do jack shit if the operator dont know how to operate it.
the Hunter units are decent, but have no bead breaking force at all. a rim clamp works well with a skilled operator and PLENTY of lube. huhuhhuhuhuh.....lube....
i prefer doing low profiles sometimes cause they are usually easier to do than a truck tire.
