Part Time Work In VB
I've been considering picking up a part time job somewhere in VB just to help offset my weekly $80 commute to the Peninsula.
Anyone have any good recommendations as far as places to check out that isn't along the lines of being a telemarketer, cold calling type garbage?
Maybe something that is pretty flexible looking for someone between 10-15hrs a week and needs them in the evenings? I've already checked out FedEx and applied with them. I live right by the Amphitheater to give you reference on a round about area.

Yeah I probably wouldnt go with a restaurant job as a last result. I did that long enough when I was younger and now I just don't have the urge to deal with it.

I work for the Gov't.... you think that will happen... no.
I spend $20/day driving to and from work. Granted this is by choice because of where I live and what I drive... but still it's not going to get any better as the years go on (cost of fuel).

Check some local retail stores. Sherwin Williams woud be good for you. I used to work there and they were pretty flexible, plus $10.00+ isn't bad for part time. You should inquire about in stores and hub driver. Store hours are 7am-6pm M-F, 8-4 Saturday, 10-4 Sunday.
Could also check department stores like Kohl's, JC Penny, Macy's. They frequently need people on night shift for inventory, accepting shipments, or just working the closing shift from the 6pm-9:30pm area. Another suggestion is to check with car dealerships about working the lot. Most pay around $8+ and are very flexible on hours. Hope any of this helps.
