Take the whole SRS wiring harness out of the car. Or just move it to another location. Just remember that you weill have an SRS light on if you don't remove the whole SRS system.

Yellow "things" (connectors, wires, wire wrap, etc) in your car should only be for SRS. So I'm not really sure why you have 2 yellow plugs. Mine was a yellow and black connector.

Do you have a Haynes or a FSM for you car? That'd be a big help.

the second flat yellow connector was for cruise control. but i just removed the entire little cable reel, but my srs light is still on. i guess i need to short it somewhere, or pull the cluster and unplug it from there. thanks

be careful, you might set off the air bag. get a haynes manual, it tells you how to disable it.

Almost all of the hubs I've seen for SRS cars come with a connector that mates to the airbag one. Inside the other end of it is a fuse.

I'm guessing shorting it will work, but what happens when the car tries to set off the airbag?

Then again, if you've done something to set off the airbag I'm not to sure you really care about the electronics of the SRS.
