how many miles are on the ka24e? you could do it, but the dohc is capable of more power. www.realnissan.com makes turbo manifolds/kits for the sohc.

There are a few KA24E-T on FA that seem to be pretty fast.
As long as he's not shooting for high HP and the milage on the current motor isn't to outrageous SOHC is fine for turbo.

actually a lot of people just want there car to perform well in various situations while still being streetable, not everybody is looking to build a "racecar"
but thanks guys, yea i think he is just trying to slap a turbo on a be done, maybe internals, but just a bit of power i tried telling him just go sr20det and call it a daythat seems easier and smarter

What makes the SR easier or smarter?
If he's only shooting for ~250-300WHP KA is the way to go.

well i said it seems, im not a big nissan tech but to me it seems easier for someone who doesnt have much know how on internals. wouldnt swaping an engine be a lot easier that breaking one down? correct me if i am wrong.
but seeing that the dohc KA comes about 155hp stock, correct? i am assuming that the single cam is obviously less than that, seems to always be the case. well like what was said before there isnt much in the market for the single cam. most likely prices would be a little bit more expensive. also he has swapped out transmissions so im sure swapping the engine wouldnt be that big of a deal. roughly 200ish hp stock from the sr20det, right? minor upgrades intake exhaust, mild cams, he should be seeing close to 250 for less than it would cost to bring a single cam to 250-300whp.
but like i said im not a big nissan tech.
and i know my basic engine mods, but as of right now i am just working on suspension and brakes before i move on to my motor.
so correct me if i am wrong, i dont doubt that i am
