honda accord 88
i have a honda accord 88 automatic and i want to put a d15 vtec swap into it. is this possible and would it be hard considering i would have to do a automatic to manual conversion and what about the axles and mounts would everything with that fit?

why not just replace it and drive it. you can find the JDM ones for 600-800 depending on who has em. a swap would be something completely custom as you would have to fabricate mounts, axles, shift linkages and wiring would be a bitch...especially if you have a carb A20A.

i don't think that a d15 would be able to move that accord very well. if you are just trying to have something to drive put a stock motor back in. look on ebay motors. they import those old accord motors from japan too not just b18's and b16's. i got one from Makata and dropped it in an 89 accord. the motor was i believe about $500 and had about 50k miles on it.

call 866-625-6862, ask for KG. tell him jerry-san sent you. his whse is in chesapeake. $690 is his price, you might be able to deal with him though for a better price. the prices have gone up a bit since the supply is almost gone in japan. i have one here (japan direct in raleigh), but we have to get $750 plus shipping. at least you can go pick it up there. oh, that is Makoto auto parts.
