NASIOC (Subaru) meet at American Indoor Karting Feb 26
The local Subaru Club is having a meet..and anyone can come..
Where: American Indoor Karting
Location: 2884 Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701
Directions:
From 264 East take Exit 2 Greenwood Avenue (2nd Exit ramp). Go down two lights to Airline Blvd and take a right onto Airline Blvd. Travel 1/2 mile and AIK on your left hand side.
From 264 West take Exit 3 Victory Blvd. At the end of exit ramp take a right onto Victory Blvd. Travel to the second light and take a left onto Airline Blvd. Travel 1/2 mile and AIK is on the right.
Date/time: Saturday, February 26th 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Why: Monthly get together and have a chance to race and see who is top dog in HR!!
The low down: AIK is letting us use thier meeting room from one to four, free of charge. They are going to provide free fountain drinks and a discounted
rate for non members to race, 17 dollars (the normal member rate.)
The discounted rate will only be good if more than 8 people show up, but I don't think that will be a problem.
I've been assured by the staff that they will not pressure us to race, but on the other hand sunbum (from NASIOC) and I will take on all comers.
I'd like to do a pot luck style meal, so bring a coverd dish. If you need to heat it up or keep it warm, bring your own gear to do so. AIK has plenty of outlets and room. They don't have a grill, but if someone wants to bring one I'm sure we can get some burgers and dogs. You don't have to bring a huge amount of food, just enough for about 6 to 8 small portions.
Please PM me what you are going to bring and about ow many friends are coming with you so i know how many to expect. (i don't read the forums here much)
please remember, keep it on the track, and act like an adult at all times. parking lot asshattery will not be tolerated. Some guys are bringing thier kids and wives/girlfriends.
let's see how many of you are man enough to get a lap time lower than 26.50!!!

No you wouldnt. And the only reason you run that fast is because you had someone to follow or someone pushing you.
If you are put into any type of car with potential to be fast or otherwise, you would shed the slowest of the times by any moderate drivers around. Tecnic, I need to converse with you about a "rate" for grown men to play on the course for a set period of time.
