Teach me something
I was in ptown last week and some dude was talking to me about B16a, B-whatever motors.
Practically all my knowledge lies in the domestic world and I realized that i really dont know anything about those engines, which ones are fast, etc.
Could somone post/and or link to a FAQ that would explain the different types of these motors and their outputs.
Obviously this is Import 101, but im not really into imports in general, so hopefully no one will flame me for a legitimate interest to learn something today.

if you're really interested in learning about 'us', you're going to have to realize that it may take a while to learn a useable amount... well, at least more usable than 90% of the riceboys out there who like to throw engine codes around and 'turbo' this and 'nos' that.
best thing for you to do is hang out with some knowleadgable import guys or start buying magazines. most likely you're not going to pick up much from a tech forum.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
blackout - true, I realize that a few posts in the tech section will not equal someone elses years of knowledge, but i wanted to have a general base of new info as well as a few new things to read to get started.
mike & roxcosist - thanks for the info/link

Also keep in mind if you do learn more about the B-series engine you're just learning about a small section of Honda motors.
Granted Honda comprises a big portion of imports, but Honda != imports. I think your best bet would be is to browse around the forums, read mags, talk to people and try to soak up as much as you can.
Most people won't be an ass about it if you're just trying to learn ... just keep in mind I said most, not all -_-
