It depends. How many of those 14 were HPDE with an instructor? (i.e. circuitcrosses & time attacks don't usually count as much because they're non-instructed/no traffic...)

7 of those days were in traffic (practice days) although I never had an instructor. But it was pass only with point-bye on strait-aways, although sometimes that rule went out the window. Ross rode with me once in the rain LOL. But now they (TA) are finally getting their crap together and require membership and license to compete.

I guess I got "thrown in the fire". But Im pretty confident I would be considered at least above novice now.

Interestingly there is nothing on their website or in their rulebook about what the requirements are to get one of those licenses.

Worst case you sign up for novice and your instructor bumps you to intermediate, no big deal.

Yea I already wrote to them about that (it says in the rules you need the license but it doesnt say how to get it or the requirements). Seems you have to be a member of the TA forums to even know that it all has to be done through the mail, a bit unprofessional if I may say so myself. But I will cut a lil slack for them because I know they just got the new website up yesterday and say things will be added daily (will see I guess).

And that sounds good, ill sign up as Novice no big deal.

Can't beat instruction at any level. I'm hoping to get up with Mike Skeen later this year or first part of next for some "Pro Level" instruction.

Skeen is the real deal, definitely worth spending some time with, especially at VIR and especially during a TrackDaze event
