Default Need a tuner for my evo ...

Got a new fuel pump on my car and test pipe, and it ran fine at first. After few hours, i try to punch it and it won't go any higher without stuttering and back firing like crazy. My friend says I am running to rich and I needa get it tuned. At first I thought it was my clutch because I didn't launch my car right, still learning, so I was scared. But I think it is that I needa get my car tuned, any really good evo tuners here, that know a lot about tuning and can help me fix this problem 8- ) Let me know what I should go with an original ecu dynoflash, an s-afc or whatever you think might be good, just dont have a lot of mone yfor anything else right now, shoot me a pm or leave a msg on the thread please. Thanks I appreciate the help

nm, i found out that it wasn't my clutch nor did I need any tuning done 8- ) I'm leaning very close to, one of the ic couplings are leaking, thats why when boost kicks, it sputters and backfires like crazy and I can't run the car! I'll check tomorrow, hopefully that is the problem 8- )

sounds like thats the problem, there was a subaru guy having similar problems and it turned out to be a leak with one of the intercooler hoses i think

No problem Brock, I didn't even know what it was anyway til today. I'm just happy that my clutch is still in perfect condition 8 - ) Even if the problem is not because of my car hasn't been tuned yet. I plan to take my car up to mach V in a few weeks to get it awd dynoed and tuned. First I'm gonna get the ecu dynoflashed, and purchase an s-afc on top of that, then take it to them. Gonna try to see if I can find the leak or whatever is making my car turbo not spool up during the week when I have time.

You don't need both dude, just pick one. An safc tune on top of a flash will get you maybe 10whp for how much extra money. $300 plus $150 for the dyno time. At that point you could have a custom flash.

Just wait for the next gen ECU+. Dan will have them in a few months. If you are really itching to mod, go ahead and get an innovative motorsports wideband controller. Then, when you get an ecu+, you can do your own tooning on the cheap

hmm, I really wanted aem ems at first, but don't have that kinda money right now. Who is dan btw, is he on the lancerforums? If that would be a better idea I might just wait til that comes out and then get my car tuned then. Or, maybe I'll just get the dynoflash from Al, still undecided for now
