turbo+vafc= problems
ok I have a mini-me
88 si block+y8 head, stock injectors, 12:1 FMU, missing link
boost is set on 6 psi, I have a vafc that is tuned when I hit vtec at 4600
the fuel is increased to +20 on (wide) hi vtec
when the car is on lo vtec on (wide) fuel is set on +10 from 2000rpm to 4500rpm
when I get down on the car into 3rd gear I can tell it is throwing the map sensor code but I have a missing link, so I have to turn car off and then back on to reset the code?
please help, oh and dont bust my balls because it is a mini-me and its turbo
thanks

Re: turbo+vafc= problems
Not that im a expert at boost but what kind of turbo are u running?
I've been trying to learn as much as possible about sohc turbo setups since im gonna give it a try. From what i've seen most guys that are running a afc arent using a missing link but they are using dsm 450s.

Re: turbo+vafc= problems
WHY are you running an FMU AND trying to tune the fuel with a VAFC? Also you shouldn;t be throwing the map code till 12psi

Re: turbo+vafc= problems
thanks for replies
I thought it was the filter on the missing link a while ago but when I cleaned it it still ran shitty.
Do you think taking off the fmu and throwing sum 450's on and reducing the fuel will werk?
