b16a2 into 97 dx hatch wiring question
So im planning on putting my b16a2 into my hatch next weekend and ive been reading on honda tech about the wiring.... i want to swap over the whole si harness for it to be easy but i read that the ecu will not work with the cabin harness and you should use the stock harness and modify it accordingly, i'm also wondering about the 2nd o2 sensor located on the cat which does not appear to wired in with the engine harness itself, how do you go about hooking it up? any input would be greatly appreciated

Re: b16a2 into 97 dx hatch wiring question
If the engine (and harness) are OBD1, there is no second O2 sensor. If you're using an OBD1 ECU, you don't need the second O2 sensor.
We can give more help if we have the rest of the info about the engine setup you're going to use.

If you're talking about the harness that plugs into the ECU, you can get an OBD2a to OBD2b adapter to adapt the earlier ECU harness to the later ECU.

Re: b16a2 into 97 dx hatch wiring question
That makes since, but you have to use the OBD2a ex harness to use that adapter with the p2t, right? Would you be better off using the ex harness with a del sol b16 ecu I think those were made thru 97 and that should be OBD2a b16 ecu? I guess there's no easy way to use a 99 si engine harness in it, not without changing the whole cabin harness which seems like it would be very time consuming.
