2 issues 2 different trucks
Maybe someone on here can help me.
First issue, 1985 Chevy Silverado, no brake lights, turnsignals and hazards work, fuse is good, brake light switch is good, bulbs are good. Test light shows power from the wire coming off the switch, going into the column where it combines in the turnsignal switch, power on both side, yellow(drivers)/dark green(passengers), when brake light switch is engaged. No power coming from block on firewall when brake petal is pressed but turnsignal indicates when turned on, same wire for both brake and turnsignal.
Second issue, 1975 c-10, turn off ignition truck stays running, headlights only stay on, no taillights, switch is off. Turn signals will turn on if you hit the turnsignal switch. Have to stall truck out to shut off. Has new ignition switch, and ignition module.

Re: 2 issues 2 different trucks
Issue #1 fixed, wound up someone had installed a new socket but didn't wire something right and had left the old one behind the assembly, placed a bulb in it and it worked so I swapped it out, now just wondering why someone changed it in the first place.
